OH MY GOD...it LIGHTS!!!(and stands)

Didn't have a camera in class but I demonstrated how my lamp shades stand and light up on the lamp stand and I really liked tthem..

Here's what the final thing looks like...after I fixed it up at home and tried the light with the stand too

The Making of: lamp shades

So we has to have 5 different lamp shades done had critiques of those (from which only 2 or 3 were picked as best to keep & refine) so we had to work on those again to see how it would attach to the lamp, how it would stand, how it would light through our lamp, etc...

Here are some oictures I took of my designs while I was working on them at home:

i just loved the inside look hehe

Here are a few pictures of my critiqued designs in class and some sketches we were supposed to do in order to help us determine visually and easily how to make our lamp shades' designs in a practical original way.

all my designs critiqued

my favorite design out of all got the most "votes" so of course I kept it but enlarged it

I really liked this one though, so I decided to keep it

these 2 didn't get any "votes" so I am not working on them again

So after I realized that I should concentrate first on my circles/triangle edged circle lamp shade design, I started cutting and folding and piercing bristold board again to create teh extended version of the design.

After class I went in the room with the white light "board" where you could try out your design to see how the light would interact with your lamp shade, so after finishing my extended design in that room for a few hours, I tried different positions of it with/on the lighting, to see the effects I get and possibly determine which is best.

As you can see, I was so impressed in the effects I got that I got a bit carried away in wanting to almost every side of it...
I really loved this one.. I felt the effect I got was so magical..
